Cloisonné Apple, need bartering advice

Good day to all, a local store is closing its door with a everything must go sale. My girl is very interested in this cloisonné apple(bout 7” - 8”) and the store is willing to barter for some items of mine I showed photo’s of and/or drop prices greatly. Our quick concerns would be dating and quality. Is the pallet right? Hope some can input opinions as the item can fly off the self at any time. She states it has some age, but doesn’t everybody. Hope to get some info, and thank you all for looking.

 

That seems very expensive to me, but I'm going on UK prices. I do like that Dale Tiffany vase next to it. I know they're new, but the colours are super.

 

It's not old if that is what you are asking, I think the earliest it is going to be is the 1980's. Seems very expensive for such a recent piece, I think around $100 is a more realistic retail price.

 

why are they willing to barter with you it its a going out of business sale? That really strikes me as odd.

@sunday silence, indeed, but I believe we were talking with the manager and figure she was going to work out a deal with her boss(A severance pay kind of thing). Thanks to this group it didn’t work out in her favor. We still like the peace very much but not at the reduced price they were offering
