Cloisonné Vase

    Bought this vase today

    I assume it isn't very old, but is there any way to tell how old it is?

    When I turned it over, to take a pic of the bottom, this came out :confused:

    This was indeed my first thought :eek: But it looks like saw dust. A bit weird to have that inside a vase, but maybe it came from a home with a "handyman" like me, who also forgets to cover things before starting the DIY work :D

    The torn label seems to be from a previous store where this was sold.
    I think the label says AGST 9-7 and IEK. So, possibly the date code for when the item was placed in the store, and maybe the end letters of 'Antiek' (antique in Dutch)? Although this would be an odd combination, as the Dutch normally wouldn't write a date like that...
