'Cloisonne' vase

    I come across this type of metal/enamel work now and then. Usually it is in quite poor condition so was pleased to find this piece has no serious damage. It is usually described as cloisonne but it has no wire enclosing the different areas of colour. Either correctly or not, has cloisonne become synonymous with any enamel over metal pieces regardless of presence of wire separating the sections? H=16cm

    Sweet vase. Looks like Canton enamel.
    I hope not!:facepalm::arghh::bigtears::dead:
    But there are always sellers who are too lazy to do their homework or ask here.:rolleyes:
