No marks at all. The base shows some light wear. It appears to be hand decorated. The gold is thick and raised. The enamel areas of white & peach applied even thicker than the gold. I do see some areas where the enamel has worn off. The base is gourd shaped. My guess, Japan. 8" tall, 5" wide. Any ideas on maker, place of origin or age? Thank you.

    I'm thinking Japan, too...

Bumping this up for another try. How would you describe the opening?

Thank you. Perfect. I've become so accustomed to seeing that word used with cups & saucers, I didn't even think of it.

Beautiful -- I love the cobalt color.

Thank you Figtree, the color is what caught my eye.

I've been searching the web and haven't found anything to compare this with. Since it doesn't have a mark on the base, do you think it could be prior to the McKinley Tariff act?

I don't know, and hope that somebody else does.

A lot of cobalt porcelain was made in France. You might try searching French cobalt vases. I doubt you'll find an exact match but maybe something close.
