Featured Coffee cup Sphinx

    i like coffee so much my eye come on this lonely cup I couldn’t help but to buy it!! Any idea on year and value?

    All of the Sphinx porcelain I found in a quick search was marked that it had been made in JAPAN. One listing (no photo of the mark) said that the item was made in OCCUPIED JAPAN, which, of course, gives a time frame. The cups & saucers I saw all were listed for OR had sold for less than $10 US.

    The Sphinx marks that I found were different from the one shown here, but I don't know that this means they were made by a different company.

    The piece most similar to this one rather unfortunately had a tiny photo and a dead link:
