Coiled basket, any thoughts ?

    I know nothing about coiled baskets, I'm hoping there's someone here who can tell me what this is.
    I don't think it's old, heck, I don't even know if it's NA, African or just a plain old fake.
    It's rigid and measures 4+3/4" x 2+3/4".
    Any thoughts ?

    Unfortunately, it's a Pakistani import, made from date palm leaf. Zanzibar Trading Company is a major importer of these baskets based on Native American designs or patterns. They have a web site with their explanation, or justification, for having them made in Pakistan, if you want more information about them.
