Even with the Colette C label I cant find out anything about this doll.

Once had eyebrows, now mostly gone. 12 inches tall, moulded hair, hard thin plastic body, I think (fixed) eyes are glass.

I don't think Colette C is the maker. More like that is the last owner's name tag.

Many people from our parent's generation were in the habit of labeling their items. Besides name labels, people put DL# on items. I have an EAPG Delaware bowl with someone's SS# etched on the bottom.

My MIL, bless her heart, during her last years went around putting address labels on everything she owned, books, magazines, toaster, bells, you name it, it had an address sticker stuck on it.

There is a certain flavor of the Master of Ceremonies from Cabaret...

Is that an eidelweis (sp?) on his jacket collar?

Could be, needlework isn't that fine to be sure

And I was thinking German origin or that neck of the woods.

And Silverthwaite, now I'm humming Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!

Cluttered, thanks for pointing that out, hadn't thought of an owners tag.
