    Some have labels. One says
    Otto Mertens Kunstgewerbe International.
When you get them you can update the labeled ones. :)

One is clearly stamped Made in Poland, and I suspect others were too. Some look Scandinavian; they were tourist pieces. The Mertens one looks like what the call a "smoker" or incense burner. He was probably German.

Looks like someone's collection of "foreign" dolls! I have many similar, from the late 1950's to mid-1960's - quite a few of them from various pavilions at the 1964-65 NY World's Fair.

I see a couple of Hungarian ones, Rumanian, Austrian, Bulgarian, German, former Yugoslavia. The one with the wide brimmed hat looks Andean.
You could post them individually and I could tell each one, but that would be a lot of effort for very little value. Cute, but there is nothing that stands out.

International dolls from around the world, as stated by the others.

The "theme" of the collector appears to me, was to collect wooden dolls of around the world.....approx. of the same size.

The only Scandinavian "doll" that I see, might be the tallest one in the 5th picture. It appears that the "skirt" is slotted.....if so, she is a napkin holder.

I can see the slotted skirt, but how does that work as a napkin holder?

In my opinion, not very well. I have one but have never used it.

One folds the napkin in some fashion.....honestly, I'd have to experiment with the one I own, to know how.

When folded "properly", it should resemble her "skirt".

This style napkin holder was popular a few years back.

I see, like a pleated skirt, I suppose.

    I found an example......

The one on the right with the cloth is a "snack holder".

    Yes, that's it.
We used to have a similar cloth thing in a basket for rolls.

Someone had a lot of fun collecting those. I wouldn't call them "handmade" though as they were mass produced.

I think the egg-shaped pieces are for darning socks. Or were; these days we just say "oh darn" and toss the socks. And yes, I've used one.
