I have been a collector of jade and bone for about 20 years . I by modern hand made items of jade or bone mainly from NZ and Inuit both Canada and native American.

Hello Vanessa, we look forward to seeing some of your treasures. Think you'll find some very knowledgeable members who will be able to help with questions, while the rest of us will just enjoy looking.

Hi yes I am following you as yet I can not work out how to add pictures. I like the bone pendant of yours. Once I have worked out how to add pictures I will
Do you have any other maori items? Would love to see them

Yes, I have some more Maori items, although I sold some too, so I'd have to check. The bone Manaia is one of my favourites. The UK seller had it listed as Celtic, so no other bidders.
    Here is some info how:

Nothing for sale as yet, but I was considering these 70s pieces:

The earwires are sterling silver, the matau has no bail, but can be fitted with one, the bail of the tiki is probably gold plated.

That's the way it was with most Maori jade in the 70s. Different from the 40s NZ jade, for instance. I've got some long pendant earrings which aren't highly polished.
I bought most of my jades in a Maori arts centre in Rotorua, where they were also making them, and doing woodcarving, etc. Bought some poi as well, and a headband which I must still have somewhere.
