    Hello all,

I've come across this, what I assume is a condiments tray.

I've been trying to find what the markings are online but I'm not having much luck.

Can anyone tell me what they denote?

    Many thanks.

Likely originally silver plated that has been worn away. Are there any other marks anywhere? Often called a condiment set, mustard pot, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

Not that I saw, but I'll have another thorough inspection tomorrow. Thank you.

Have a good look on the glass too, might have marks of a good maker.

The letter markings are only for the name of the company that made the holder. If it was a plating firm I may be able to tell you who if I can figure out the letters. Looks like E G (something) & Co.

The numbers are likely an internal designation for the item or design and won't have any other meaning.

Well, E at the beginning was a complete loss. Second choice is an F.

    You're welcome. Jack

By the way, you noticed that one of the containers for pourable contents is missing its stopper, right?

Yes, I've been searching for it in the vicinity of where I found it, but no luck so far. But I've got so much to get through, it is a miniscule needle in an enormous haystack.

Stop in a junky antique shop......a lot of times they will have a tin or basket full of various stoppers.....you might just easily find one that fits!!!

Aren’t these also called cruet sets? Or is that something more specific?

In UK these have always been known just as a Cruet. Comes from the old French/Anglo French and used for a thousand years.
