    Hello Antiquers!
I need help deciphering a man's name on an antique German Fairing figurine.
I've used scratch paper to jot down possible names, but none seem right.
Someone out there is going to make me feel very embarrassed, when they come up with the name within 20 seconds or less.
    Oh... So that's his name.
    Thanks.

The hat name came after the poem in which Tam is the main character. It's a short poem and a good Halloween story.

    Thank You!
I KNEW someone was going to have an answer, within seconds.
Yes, I am embarrassed. After 4 years of college English, I should have recognized the name.
    Have a Great Day!

It would really help if you'd click on Full Image when you upload your photos so they would all appear in the post. Much easier for us.

Now, here's some history for you. That has to be pre WW1, but made for the British market. After 1914, it was totally unacceptable to have anything marked made in Germany: after 1918, when imports started again, those ended up being marked simply as Foreign.

    Aloha,
    Thank You Thelmasstuff!
I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post full size photos, due to possible limitations .
Now I know that size doesn't matter.

    Aloha KingofThings,
You have a good sense of humor.
The mind is a terrible thing to waste, indeed.
I tried for the Golden ring, but missed it by a millimeter. In the halls of academia, I am known as an ABD : All But Doctorate.
When I submitted my doctoral thesis, I was stunned to find out that a person in Germany had submitted a thesis paper, almost identical, in content and wording, to mine. Who remembers the 1980s TV commercial of an egg, as it sizzled, in a skillet? Caption : This is your Brain on Drugs. IMHO.

    Aloha to you as well!
I assume you enjoyed what I wrote though did you know what it was regarding?
    ~
In a bit of trivia in regard to both of you writing the same thing at the same time, I have read a lot about patents. I learned that when someone has an idea so do about 20 others.
The question is...will anyone follow through.
