Featured Controlled Bubble Paperweight - unsigned

    This is a larger paperweight at 3 1/4 inches in diameter. No signature but lots of wear on the bottom. Does anyone recognize the maker or is this some anonymous décor item? Either way, I like how the bubbles create a prismatic effect in the sunlight.

    Thanks everybody for your positive comments about this paperweight. I often buy things to learn about them and then donate them back. Because you all liked this so much it has now moved over to the table where I display my permanent collection.

    Love that video. I was fascinated that the bubbles come from using a mold that created dents which changed how the next layer was added. I couldn't visualize how you add bubbles and in this case twist them around. Thanks so much for this.

    OBB. Thank you. That's reassuring. I have a Murano piece that just had a little gold sticker when I bought it 20 years ago. It got washed off sometime while being spring cleaned. That's why I asked you more expert members. I'm just glad it has a more recognizable style. Kiko
