I found this Amethyst Color vase today, the sides are somewhat pinched. Anyone know who might have made it?

That vase was made by Dugan/Diamond Glass Co. in Indiana Pa. Circa 1905-1906. It's from there Venetian line.

  15. Nice, The three pieces in the next to the last pic are dugan. I got a bogus Java attack from the third pic. Norton caught it. Message me about the three Dugan pieces.

Fenton. You may already know this.
The marigold Carnival glass stretch vase in the second picture is a rare find. It is by Millersburg in their Swirl Hobnail pattern. It is made from the swirl hobnail rose bowl mold and is considered a whimsy, or not regular production. This vase is vastly harder to find than the typical Fenton April Showers or Northwood Tree Bark stretch vases, which look very similar. It takes a trained eye to spot the differences. Mine is trained. The top edge is the most telling.

The vase on the left is the Millersburg Swirl Hobnail vase in green, the center displays Northwood's Tree Bark in amythest , and the right is Fenton's April showers in blue. Note the difference in the tops in particular, also the many pointed star on the Millersburg base.

Here is a closer shot of the tops...

    ...and the bases

    Congrats on a rare find.

    Uh huh;)

This is why it's good to know the Dif.. The value of the Millersburg is maybe ten fold or more of what the other two sell for.

Skeezix42-Thanks for the Info. I have been into Carnival Glass since 1975. In 1999 I sold a Blue Hanging Cherries water pitcher on Ebay for $19,800.00. On the other glass, I know every piece. I used to work Carnival Glass auctions for Tom Burns and Bill Richards.
