Cool painting from Haiti - artist's signature? Or subject's name?

    Found this at a thrift store today - can't find artist but with the quotation marks, maybe it's the subject's name?(It looks like artist spelled first name wrong Michel instead of Michael - and I see Ax for last name?)
    Thoughts on my new painting?
