And once again, this time I know what I have, just wanted to share with you, because I've bought it for 4 £! I am aware how many of jasperware is around, and that it hasn't got hight value, but the price was so good, and I love these tiny reliefs, that I have to. And here we are :).

Yes, this mark was present between 1894-1910. Anyway, I believe, that if only it's possible, antique things should be used again, that's why I put the plant into -).

Not jasperware, that's only if it's Wedgwood and unglazed. ;) The proper term is sprigged.

Fantastic find! I love how bright the colors are. For some reason, whenever I think of Victorian times, it's easy to visualize it in muted colors, even if I know that isn't true...

I had to edit it, because I was writing about bowl ;-). And yes, the blue shade is pretty bright, I was surprised-).

:( Couldn't you find something other than Mother-in-law's-tongue to occupy such a pretty bowl?

    Hi Silver,
I thought if it had smooth sides it was Snake plant. I thought Mother-in-laws tongue had the barbs on the side?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Whatever it is I've got one in the kitchen I haven't watered in weeks!!:jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: Fortunately it's a forgiving plant in that regard. Around here it's survival of the fittest.:)

It's sanseveria. AKA Mother in law's tongue: some are smooth edged. They're almost unkillable and thrive on neglect.

I may confirm, sanseveria is a very forgiving plant -)

Nice piece! Might be my weakness for succulents, but I really like sansevieria, have quite a few tall mother-in-law's tongues in the yard (grow like weeds here), along with the little compactas (also potted), and am very fond of this cylindrica variant...
