    I think Middle Eastern and not all that old. I like the shape of this one better than most.

    Thanks for the suggestion. What makes you think it is from the Middle East(which part)? I would expect some decoration with traditional motifs, maybe to see some brass, tin...

    What Brad said. I think the rainbow colors on the bottom are where patination chemicals settled after running down the sides, but not sure-may have been heated once after chemicals put on to age it a bit more and the rainbow is the work of heat on those chemicals. Hard to tell exactly.

    Yes it could be other than Mideastern, it could be from India. Pakistan, Indonesia, etc. but that identity is lost by the time it shows up on the shelf at Pier One or wherever.
