Copper? Spoon

    147DDA6F-FF51-412C-92C3-87C512B238A8.jpeg 22BECEDA-AF14-47D5-A83E-E255DC916CEB.jpeg Is anyone familiar with these markings? We dug it up in my MIL yard which has a 108 yr old house.

    Welcome, Christine. Is the house in the US?

    The business end of the item looks more like it was a butter knife than a spoon (unless what would have been the rounded sides have been folded in toward the middle?)

    I don't see anything that looks like a maker's mark, but I do see some faint impressions of design that reminds me of the "aesthetic period" roughly 1880s to about 1900. With copper left behind from it's time underground, probably silverplated originally.
