    Dear friends
I found this bone ladle in a market. I think it could be a ladle of Coptic origin because of the cross engraved at the base.
However, I would like to have the opinion of someone more experienced than me on this.
    Thanks again

Your cup is made of horn (not bone). It could be from many places, but I don't see anything Coptic about it. I would look toward eastern Europe, but that it just a guess.

I agree, horn. And no reason to believe it is Coptic. It could have been made anywhere.
The cross design has even length arms, that is the only similarity with a Coptic cross. Many types of crosses and sun symbols have even length arms, and I have never seen a Coptic cross that looks this 'feathery'.

No bones about it, it's horn. :hilarious::hilarious::smuggrin::rolleyes:
(The Coptic part, I know nothing about.)

    Thank you
Can it be something else and not a cross?

How about a simple "libation" cup, as opposed to a full on Viking horn tankard?
