    Hello everyone,
I have purchased the attached coral necklace, and would like to learn a bit about the period when it was made. I think the clasp is a give away of the period, it has a hallmark on the small circle 375 and 9 which makes it 9 karat, but the big closing system does not have a hallmark, and it's also a light yellow compared to the red yellow circle.
I would appreciate some recommendations on reading material about the clasp of the chains.
Also, can anyone identity what type of coral it is.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards,

Appears your necklace has been restrung, and a watch-chain swivel-clasp used...
