    Sorry, I should have included that info. Got it at an estate sale this past week-end. It has a hanger on the back and was on the wall. It is 21" long and 11" tall. You can tell it was attached to something originally. Wasn't made to hang from the wall. I can take a photo of the back if that would be helpful, thanks!

    It looks the crown of a Victorian mirror.

    Yes, it definitely looks like a crest or crown. Victorian, Renaissance Revival with a bit of Eastlake, ca. 1880, made of walnut. It could have been the crest on a buffet or on a mirror as Deborah alluded to. In any case, it was the crest of something!
