Could this be a little Baccarat vase?

    Hey everybody!

Last week I posted 2 green opaline vases,
suggesting they could be made by Baccarat.

Now I know a little to nothing about Baccarat (or anything else )..

I came across this little vase.
    The height is 25 cm/ 9.84 inch.

The vase itself is made from glass which looks different on the outside.
I believe it is indeed opaline glass, with some kind of satin finish on the outside.

On the outside it's decorated with a floral print.
As beautiful as it is, unfortunately it's not handpainted,
    but transferprinted.

I very much liked this vase when I saw it online, a took the gamble.
It looks a lot like other Baccarat vases I saw before.

I'll give you guys a couple of links (beneath the pictures) to see the similarities.
One thing that I often see with Baccarat is a floral print, combined with animals.
This vase has only floral decorations.
(Maybe I should put a butterfly on it myself :dead::dead::bookworm:)

I really hope somebody can help me this!

Thank you very much in advance!

I am having a hard time thinking these might be Baccarat. Nothing about this type of glass speaks to me of the quality Baccarat is known for.

Yes you have posted others that claim this to be Baccarat. But in today's world all it takes is one person to post on the internet an inaccurate attribution, then another to copy and post and another and all of a sudden things that shouldn't be something, are.

To me this looks like very well done satin glass with beautiful flowers, that are very well painted.
My take would have been Bohemia, Austria, Czechoslovakia. Time period round about 1900s.

Here is a history of Baccarat glass from their website. It took a couple of minutes to load. The scroll down is very touchy, so go slow. I didn't read it all, but I scanned through and saw absolutely nothing to attribute your vases to Baccarat.

I'm not saying I'm correct. I am saying I am having a hard time thinking that this style is Baccarat.

Well, the flowers are ipomoea, forget me knots, dicentra, foxgloves, probably auriculas and a nice ivy wreath, plus some kind of daisy. ;)

Could well be! I don't think painters are botanists. ;)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Except for botanical artists, of course... :)
