    This is the first time that I have handled crackle glass.

    * I know it is modern because the edges have been ground flat;
    * I know that my nails can feel the cracks
    * I know the colour is amber;
    * I know the vessels are shaped into a pentangle;
    * I know that I cannot find a Mark or name;
    * I know that there are no signs of a seam.

    * I don't know when modern starts;
    * I don't know if the manufacture is genuine or fake;
    * I don't know what the function of the set is. The stoppered bottle is tight, so is it for spirits, but then the glasses are of the wrong type;
    * I don't know anything else but suspect the is a lot more I should know.
    * I don't know the key search words so have not found any set like this on the Internet and would like to do so.

    I know you can give me a crash course on crackle glass.

    Thank you.

    What I did note and missed from the above description is that the inside of the glasses is smooth; but there are bumps with corresponding dips on the external surfaces.

    Given the color, I's guess '70s. It was called things like "Autumn Gold".

    @moreotherstuff, @johnnycb09
    Thanks very much. Older than I expected; don't remember seeing it around.

    Any ideas on what it would be intended to be used for other than a drinking set? Any concept of what it might fetch on Ebay, etc., I don't have any room for it.

    Thank you TallCakes, I think you are spot on, and my wife has solved my problem with the drinking glasses - they are POTS. Sorry @Johnneycb09, no lazing around with one of my pots in you hand.

    @moreotherstuff it really is "Autumn Gold" when the light displays itself on it. I'll use sounds much nicer that amber.
