Crockery Jug with Blue pear design

Hello everyone,

This is a nice old crockery jug I found today. Can anyone help identify it? The blue designs look like a cut-open pear and apple and maybe an apple blossom? There might be very faint markings on the bottom but they are too faint to read. It's about 8" tall and 6" wide. There are cracks in the base. Maybe a crock for fruit wine? Thanks!

I don't have one. I think the fruit designs are interesting - wondering if anyone has ever seen this before.

 

Pretty cheap to buy a small hand held one actually.

Thanks! Yes, that's my father, who was a Boston policeman, and my older sister and brother with me. We were raised in the old 3-deckers in the city. That must have been around 1950.
