IMG_0382.JPG I came across this Crown Ducal Strawberry Fair set today, there is entirely too much to list every piece in this picture. How do I price a set this large and unique so I can place an accurate bid.

Are you sure of the pattern name of this china? I tried to do some quick research & could not find it using your information.

As far as selling sets of china I have quite a bit of experience. Selling a whole set of china is extremely hard unless it is an extremely popular pattern. If that is the case it will most likely be purchased by someone who will buy it from you for a reduced price just to turn around & sell it off by the piece.

If this were my set I would sell the serving pieces by themselves. I would sell the plates & bowls in even number lots.

Also, the best way to sell china on ebay is to list it as a BIN / Best Offer unless again it is an extremely popular pattern & even then I might still list it as a BIN. You run the risk that the person who needs pieces to the pattern does not look on ebay every day or even every week. I list 99% of my china as a BIN & only do auctions when I am down to the last few pieces so I don't really care what it sells for at auction.

Bercrystal has given you some excellent advice. I also sell a good bit of china and do it just the same. Serving pieces are usually excellent sellers. I see you have some unusual pieces in the pattern also. I expect they might sell well also as some folks like to add those pieces to their set.

I am not sure if you are buying it or selling it?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Sounds like he's buying if he wants to "place an accurate bid"........

Peggy has given good advice. If you are buying this for yourself to keep, then figure out what it is worth to you. If you are buying this for resale, I would be sure there is a market for it. This time of year is generally the best time to sell china, as people are looking to fill in their own sets and generally not looking to buy an entire set, as only a few people are looking for an entire set of china, and shipping cost really adds to the total cost.

So, I ended up winning the auction for these. There are well over 60 pieces total. Here is a pic of the design as well as the makers mark.
