Featured Crystal compote help identifying

    I've had this for quite a while. back in the 80's I had a wild idea to collect candy dishes. this is one of the pieces i kept.
    6" wide x 71/4" tall and pretty thick and heavy. has a nice ring to it also lol.

    Modern, 1975 - 2020, Spire finial is not old, never used before.

    So it was almost new when I bought it. It was either 81 or 82 just after I moved to No. Cal.

    I could be wrong but I would not call it a compote, it's a covered dish or a container for cotton balls or other vanity type stuff. JMHO.

    I think it would make a nice candy holder on a coffee table. Perhaps some sour balls?

    This sits on the entertainment center in the living room. I have my two Fostoria American candy dishes, Fenton milkglass english hobnail, and one other I think antique on the coffee table lol
