I have very little knowledge of Currier & Ives, I search the Library of Congress and found the Ripe Cherries' print and found no others anywhere.

The Strawberries' Print I was only able to find reproductions.
Could someone give me the larger view of these prints history as they both seem very very rare?

I have not had the time to carefully remove them from their frame, They have cardboard backings and severe acid damage.

Is it possible that they are reproduction? Crossing my Ts

Disregard the expert reference all help is appreciated.

Get a magnifying glass. If you see dots, you have repros. Originals you will see where the color was applied, no dots will be seen.

Fruits are not as desirable as other categories such as the Civil War. Hope there are some serious Vegans collectors out there. Thanks, INH

I had no idea about this distinction between original and repros. Fascinating! I have a few in the house I can check out.

Out of the frame shows a lot of condition issues related to age. Also, yellowing and darkening caused by the acid leaching into the print from the cardboard backing. Some pencil marking and a company logo. 20200713_212740.jpg 20200713_212852.jpg 20200713_212903.jpg 20200713_213439.jpg 20200713_213449.jpg 20200713_213528.jpg

    The size is 10" X 14"
