Based on a comment on this forum, for months I have been feeling up cut glass objects wherever I go to find "a sharp edge." It is my understanding that this was an indicator of an older piece of hand-cut commercial glass. FINALLY! My finger met the elusive sharp edge on one of the cuts in this bowl - actually more than one. Even while bleeding all over the floor, I jumped for joy.

Presenting for your esteemed assessment - weighing in at 2lbs 10oz, a small (8 inch diameter/3 inch high) finger-ripping crystal bowl!

I wiped off all the blood. Any comments appreciated.

It's possible there may be a faintly etched mark dead center on the inside of the bowl. Moving the bowl so glare plays over the area might help to show it if there is one.

Take it to a good light source. Use a damp rag (not sopping wet, just damp enough to leave a slight film) over the inside bottom, then twist and turn to see if you can find a faint acid etch.

No, I think it is part of the cut and the light just hit it weird.
