Cut Glass bowl ..

    HI

    I inherited this from my great grand mother ....its beautiful ...any thoughts on the pattern or anything else would be much appreciated ...i think its HOBNAIL?

    I think it is called Daisy and Button at least in pattern glass.

    It looks like 2 items. A compote inside a bowl? Or am I seeing things?

    Sorry, this isn't Daisy & Button. Though, to be honest, I can't come up with a 'common' name for it. Its like "they're not my kids, I know that, but I don't know who's kids they are"

    I know little about cut glass but have come to learn that the cut glass world calls this motif 'Harvard'; in the EAPG world it would be known as cane. Here's an informative article on the motif:

    yes its 2 pieces ...i dont know if they belong together ..this is how it was always displayed

    Maybe you can give the size and show these items separately.

    Its difficult to see details on glass and having one inside the other, blurs things.

    Marks can be anywhere, sometimes on the flat edge of a facet. Could also be etched inside the bowl.
