Dagger worth $240??

I was considering getting this dagger but Im having a hard time telling enough about it to say its worth the money. Any thoughts?

There is only this single photo of the blade to make my decision on.

i don't believe i've ever see one like that............it looks home made.
That grip does not look hand friendly !
Do you have any other information about this blade.??

 

A little bigger & lighter.....there’s some script writing along the blade starting with an ‘R’, but that’s about all I’ve got!! It enlarges!

Thanks, Komo. Thanks, Aquitaine. Could this be a marriage between a kitchen knife blade and a handle? There is something too "kitcheny" about the butt end of the blade - I want to use it to chop vegetables. Looks like it's been sharpened many times.

The stars appear to have been added to an old kitchen knife blade, along with the handle which is adorned with something. It appears to have been used in this incarnation and may not be holding up well. I would want to hold any knife in my hand, feel the weight, the blade, the comfort of the grip before buying.

@Garcia what country is this knife being sold in? Who is selling it, what type of shop? A knife specialist? This is so expensive, I would pass.

i have seen that style of pommel on Turkish blades, often made of walrus tusk, so Ottoman Bosnia might be a possibility. Let me see if I can find a photo.......

Thats pretty much the same knife right there. The auction is in greece. I can take the risk or leave it. I have another one from iran ive been eyeballing if i dont get this one. Just something about this knife i like so if its not a gross rip off I think ill take the leap.

 

just saying.............it's an interesting blade.....but for that cost...I'd want the sheath with it too !!!
That'll be a hard sheath to find on it's own....
