Danish because the they are the closest I can find that are similar to this one. 1915 because "15" by the initials I assume is the year made. Oh, and it swivels.perfectly.

Not sure it was made as a barrel chair but definitely influenced by the design. Possibly considered a tub chair. While the chair shows signs of wear and tear, its solid construction and style make it a potentially valuable piece for collectors or someone looking for a statement piece. The swivel appears very rustic so either salvaged from another piece or was an outside patio piece

I'd guess 2015 and not 1915. Handmade and certainly not Danish or the inscription wouldn't be in English.

Agree. And "Can I kiss you?" is modern usage and ungrammatical. It should -- and would if an earlier piece -- correctly read "May I kiss you?"

Agree with all the comments so far. First thought was homemade. And doubled that thought when I saw the bottom, unfinished. Tripled when I saw the engraved words. It's cool though! Unusual!

Wondering if the "15" actually says "75"?

That makes sense. In what part of the world did you find it? Probably didn't get too far from home.

Another vote for possible 75 and not '15. The swivel piece on the bottom is fairly modern style.

It looks like 15 to me too. Chair number 15 maybe, not 1915. 1985 is more like it.

But it is unlikely that the chair is Continental European. My guess is that Mario is in the US and the chair US made.

Not all Continental Europeans cross their 7s btw. I don't.;)

And this American crossed her 7s for many years, a habit picked up from my older brother, an accountant who still does it...

So five North Americans cross their sevens, and one Continental European doesn't.;)
