Date of this pot please, and name of engraver ;)

    This is a quart size mug, featuring a child (girl or boy/) with dogs and a parrot.

    Image mid to late Victorian?

    Investigate Sunderland Lustre.

    I realised it was Sunderland lustre but the engraving looked 1880s to me.

    Aah, I had thought the mawkish engraving suggested a late date, but wondered if the engraving could be dated from the original. Now it may be that it is a bit earlier.
