A bit of fun, I'll reveal the backstamp tomorrow which will date it conclusively. Let me know, if you would, why you chose a particular date range

FWIW I found this difficult even with the backstamp!

My vote is based on fashion and style, albeit I thought of two choices. The face swung it.

I've a sort of feeling I know who made it, but I'm saying nada. ;)

There is a story here, which I haven't fully bottomed out.

Will be glad of your input tomorrow!

At first glance I thought perhaps Lenci or Le Bertetti or even Ronan (I can’t help but think of the Italian ceramicists). I can name a dozen artist who might put their logo to the piece. The fingers, however, of this figure are too crudely made and serve as dead giveaway of being from a lesser tier studio. There is also the fact that because the lovely lady is wearing a fashion of a particular period that the piece was created during that period. Goldscheider and Armani both produce wonderful examples of women dressed in Art Deco couture. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s revelation.

    I found another one--she's a bookend, which I hadn't noticed.

Me, too. I would have grabbed this so fast if at a thrift or similar. It's a really fun piece.

I like her too, and not sure how you describe the technique of painting of the chair.

I think she is German. My vote went to the earlier side of what I thought, as the time range was split in the middle.

If by chance she is on the other side of the split, then I think she is Japanese.

clothing and hairstyle narrow it considerably; going with the more recent of the 2.
