Dating the age of this chair?

    Is this chair old early 1900s or a more modern reproduction

    Turn of the century (give or take), up to the teens is right on.

    I think the upholstery had been "re-engineered" to make the chair look as if its from the early 20th Century. I'd say its from the 1870s or 80s.

    I think you are right. I was looking on my phone last night when I replied and couldn't see the details well enough. Today on my PC, it does look more renaissance revival, putting it into your time frame.
