Davenport unit

Hi realy hope some one can help my mum has a davenport unit serched lots of websites not found nothing just hopeing some one can help

 

That looks like 1930's English oak . Not terribly rare or valuable , but well made and sturdy none the less.

I didn't catch you WERE English ! 40 pds is $60 us ? I don't know what the furniture market is like over there , but here youd get $100-200 maybe . So 40 isn't too bad an offer I guess.

Davenport! I had to think about that until I realized you were in Great Britain. I should have immediately realized you were in GB when you referred to your mother as "mum." In your corner of the world, secretaries, writing desks with a sloping surface and drawers, are called davenports while "across the pond" large upholstered sofas are sometimes called davenports.

Ought to be worth $100.00 even wholesale here in the US. Don't know what your market is like there so maybe the offer is fine.
