I'm normally good at reading these, but blowed if I can make it out. Anyone?

You may have to go to a site with the Russian alphabet figure out the letters and then translate it in to english. I figured out the first letters but failed on the last two. You can look at them with a loop and maybe match them up.

Very pretty. A friend of mine picked up a Russian cookbook (written in Russian and I don't have it yet) so I think I may need some translation on that when i get it here.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

On Russian lacquered items, the word or words to the far right below the picture are normally the name of the person who painted the item. Usually it's a surname followed by a first initial, although sometimes there is just a surname.

I can't read it, either. My first guesses were S Larisibo and S Larisivo, or possibly Slarisibo or Slarisivo. Not of those seem right to me.
