Holds 1 gallon comfortably, plus an extra 2 2/3 cups filled to the rim.
No maker's marks or country of origin marks.

I think the decoration is somehow stencil applied before firing. I can't see any decal 'dots' looking with a loupe. It just looks like smooth paint.

Speculating that it's part of a wash set, missing the basin.

I've had this for at least a decade and have never found anything like it or figured out where and when it was made (or why, LOL).

Laura, I recently found the same pitcher at an estate sale and it has the bowl that "might have explained the whole thing" but I'm not sure it does! If I can figure out how to post images I will. It also was sold to me with cups that may or may not have been part of the set. Some of the cups have stickers on them that say made in Austria. The bottom inside of the bowl has in large print WASH-N-WEAR-N-DRINK above what appears to be an Asian man wearing silk attire and wearing a samurai sword on his side. Below him upside down are the words I LIKE YELLOW. All of it is very odd and I have never seen anything like it myself. Thank you, scott (Indiana)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Scott, welcome to the forums. You should be able to post a photo by using the "Upload a File" link at the bottom of the editing window. Very large files won't work so you would need to edit the photo first to make it smaller if it is very large.

Also, I just realized we haven't seen @lauragarnet here in several months. I hope that she sees this!

Thanks for the info and the link to picture of the bowl Scott. I'm assuming the bowl is big... wash basin size...?
