The first four (4) photographs are of decoys carved and painted and signed by Chas. Moore aka Charles Moore. The Pintail Duck was carved and painted by Frank C. Willis which I found only recently. It is beautifully painted and carved out of one piece of wood including the tailfeathers. Willis carved working decoys early and decorative decoys toward the end of his life. The next two (2) photographs are of unsigned weighted working decoys. The last photograph is of an early working decoy unsigned. The wooden base on this piece is not designed for display but rather as a float to keep the decoy upright and just above the waterline. The base is covered in a tar-like substance to prevent water absorption. It was originally painted but only small remnants of paint remain. All the decoys have glass eyes.

I like the green tag - "old duck". Speaking as an Odd Duck, of course.
