Hello everyone - I've got this Deruta bird with a double bowl and I can't figure out what it was used for. It measures about 5 1/4" across. The bird has its mouth open and it looks like it might be for toothpicks? The bowls are about the right size for a master salt but that doesn't seem quite right. Sauces maybe? Thanks for whatever insight you can provide.

Thanks, Ownedbybear! I could have guessed all week (or much longer) and never thought of that one!
