I wasn't sure whether to head for Burnley again or Rawtenstall after work today. I was tired and nodding off on the bus so I got off at Rawtenstall. It can be a bit bare here but I managed to find an original colour by Diane Gainey. An established artist it seems. Some of her work has silly asking prices online. I appreciate her skill but I've seen plenty as good that hardly get any recognition.

Let's just say... Her commercial instincts seem to be quite well-developed.

snor bad, like the way the mountains appear, just feels a bit empty in all that wide blank space

........needed banksy to have bought it, and filled that blank space with a cheeky focal point :woot:

Body outline in the foreground maybe? Some of her stuff is good agree. When she blends the washes subtly. This is more of a factory art pump em out as quick as possible though.

That is my favourite of the lot, but I agree, commercial art. That is OK though, commercial means it is attractive and there is a market for it.:) And it is her own work, no copies.
