I have an early 1900s ish dining table and chairs that belonged to my great grandparents. It’s not put together but here are pictures of what is all there. Can anyone identify the maker or anything about it?

20s-30s, walnut veneers and solids stained to match with ebony stained contrasting veneers. Marks mean nothing to me.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

When you say it's not all put together, do you mean that some of the pieces are disassembled?

    I like the contrasting veneers.

Yes the table is not assembled. We do have all pieces. I plan to keep it but wondering if I could refinish it?

Some others here were recently discussing the idea of refinishing veneered furniture. I don't remember the details of what was said. Maybe somebody who knows will comment again?

The answer to the question may lie in the condition of the veneer. You ask "could I refinish it" - do you think it needs it and why?

There’s many scratches on the table and chairs and the table top itself has wear and discoloring from I assume hot pans or plates. I’ll for sure clean it really well before deciding on what to do with it but I believe it will need some further TLC. It’s been in a dirty garage for 30+ years and was well used and loved prior to that. My mom remembers having thanksgiving dinner at the table which she swears was bigger when she was younger! Haha
