    Hello,
my husband and I received this set of dinner plates that I am told belonged to his grandmother who was from San Francisco.
They're stamped with a store name and a design number.
I've googled it but can't find anything with this exact pattern. I was told she may have bought them in the 20's or 30's. 20180722_182855.jpg 20180715_185700.jpg 20180715_185614.jpeg
They don't look like they've ever been used, there's not a scratch on them.
Does anyone know anything about this pattern? It's an off-white plate with dark blue and gold pattern on the edge. I tried very hard to capture the pattern, but it just won't quite come out the same on my phone camera.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Have you tried Replacements.com?

Gump was a fancy store. It's possible that they had this pattern made specifically for them.

True - but I think are closing after 154 years. They may still be able to help you out, though. Big closing sale, but only from Post Street store.

However, just saying they are from Gumps is enough to pique some buyer curiosity.

I just checked Replacements. Lenox does not have this specific version (J313B) but there's quite a long list of variations on the same theme as your plates - starting with J31 and adding another number and a letter. They all have the same cream ground, gold encrusted rim and gold circle in the center, adding a different color to each variation. Some have the second circle of gold like yours and some don't. Unfortunately they apparently don't know when these were made and when discontinued.

That Lenox mark was used 1906-30...
