Had this pair of acrylic bracelet display stands on watch for a couple of years, they're cheap and common so was in no hurry, since my silver is still packed away, but then they offered them at a ridiculously low price (just over $5. for the pair, inc. tax & shipping). They're for my traditional Norwegian (and a couple of Danish) looped-handle sugar spoons, a very small collection started 30+ years ago that's grown to over two dozen, and though I intended to just put the stands in with the spoons, once I opened the box, had to try them out, taking quick pics before packing them back up... ~Cheryl
Even Norwegians don't seem to really know, though one lady told me a little verse that she said was included when given as a wedding gift: "The path of love may be twisted, but the end is sweet." Aside from the tiny sifter at bottom near center, they're actually pretty stable and functional, tuck the index finger into the loop, hold in place with the thumb, and shake the sugar out... ~Cheryl
The loop could also echo a wedding band or a love knot that ties two souls together (getting a little flowery here-excuse)
What a great deal and a fantastic display idea! They look amazing. I hope they get to be unpacked and displayed for real soon.
