Do you have any tipps for online werting of antiques?

It is sometimes not easy to wert an object where I only see photos and text description. What do you think about condition-appraisal? For example: What is the wert, if the furniture is Biedermeier.., original and without damage? Could the lack of seeing antiques be compensated via condition-loops?

 

"Worth" is the word I think you are looking for. Your best bet is to find comparable pieces - same period, type, quality ,size - and see what they sold for. The more you search, the better informed you become.

 

For a second, I thought we were talking about programming conditional loops!

it took me years to teach myself how to look at art wirk on a screen , to understand what i was looking at and value it accordingly.
