I think so, Perspective and light is fine.
I like it.

Kind of looks like E. Waverley, but don't take my word for it. I have to use a magnifying glass for stuff like this

 

I see that the artist is Russian but can't quite read it. What is the name and do you have information when he was born?
I am asking because the burlap looks suspiciously dirty. Is the age on the back consistent with the one on the front?
I remember a topic on Ebay few years ago about a Russian painting by famous artist. The OP was worried because he got it much cheaper than what the painter's works were selling for. I checked the seller and noticed that he had paintings by different Eastern European artists, all of them with artificially dirty canvases.

 

Yep--I think it's good. It has some depth --which a lot of still life paintings lack.

 

Dr. Sebagh will just love it!!

 

I've noticed some paintings look much better from distance.
