Do you think these are Chinese Cinnabar?

These two pieces came taped together at my local thrift and were very very inexpensive.
I did the nail polish test and both are lacquer not resin.
The plate is 9" with a dragon.
The container i thought was very unique. Crimped shape with floral design all over. Repaired lid. It is 6" diameter.

Certainly don't look like the type of things that should be taped together at a thrift shop.

The tape did no harm. Amazing because not usually the case.

So red colored lacquerware is often considered 'Cinnabar' so in that aspect you could say it is cinnabar. A lot of resin ware pieces have been sold in the marketplace as cinnabar and it is not the same technique. Not sure if that makes sense?

I would suspect they're resin but they're attractive regardless.
