Does anybody recognize the maker of this heavy glass bowl

    I think it's a Murano ashtray, quality is certainly there

    What does it do under a UV light? I think Czech rather than Italian.

    There is no fluorescence under UV light.
    I'm inclined to think it's a bit large for an ashtray (8 1/2"). Not that there aren't lots of large ashtrays.

    Not to ignore the above suggestons,s but also look toward Chalet, in Canada. They did a lot with heavy ashtrays, etc.
