This piece of art is an ivory curved portrait, was trying to find any info on it but no luck, does anyone know who might be the author and possible dated time.

We need better pictures and more detailed ones. Details of carving like hair, eyes. Also of the name and the frame, please.

I'm just guessing here, but if the date is 1517, I would think it has something to do with the Reformation. It doesn't look like most of the images of Martin Luther, although I did find one image of him with facial hair:

Martin Luther was the first one I thought of as well. But it isn't, and there were many well-known people at the time, who may not be known today.
I would still like to see more detailed photos to see if we can read the name, and to look at the technique. Without details this is just a guessing game.

I think it is, since Asya is Polish. That's why I would like to see a detailed picture of the name (and the rest).

Wow Kyra, good find! Could be from the same workshop, although Asya's seems to have better detail in the carving.
