Does anyone know anything about chests?

    i picked this up a while ago and I can’t find any help locally to age it. I don’t need a valuation, I would never sell it, I would just love to know something about it.
    Any help would be amazing.

    The escutcheon looks a bit Asian to me.

    Others will have more to offer.

    Other pictures would also be appreciated, and I think there is still time for you to edit your post and choose Full Image.

    Hi Ben. Welcome. I can't help with the trunk at this stage, although more pics would help but it does look interesting.     If you look at the top you’ll see an A as well, but I’ve never been able to find a reference to the letters. I’m still trying to figure how to get an extra pic or two up. Thanks so far though, much appreciated.

    I am still getting a "From across-the-pond" Arts and crafts period vibe from this. Would make it late 19th or early 20th century in origin.

    They are beautiful, benn. Hard to tell from the photos if they are late 19th-early 20th century or later repro. Either way, they are very nicely made.

    You mean from across-the-pond, right? Not the period?
