Does anyone know this watermark?

    That appears to be a gilders mark (for piecework pay etc) and not a makers mark in this case. Unmarked pieces from the late 19th century can be very hard to trace unless you drop lucky finding a marked item with the same pattern.

    Curious why you've called this a watermark (in your thread title)?
    I've only heard that term used for paper but WDIK.

    I'm with Bluumz. Watermarks are on paper, nothing else, in my experience.
