This is a copper (I think since it's turned green), marble and glass etagere or similar. It has 4 levels, with marble on the top levels and a rotating marble piece at the top. It's been in my family for about 35 years, but beyond remembering that my mother purchased it, I know little about it. Any assistance is appreciated.

Over here that would be described as a Wotnot.
It appears to be brass, the green is verdigris which attacks brass, copper or bronze

    Welcome!

When you say the top piece "revolves" do you mean by hand or is it electrified somehow?

Were I the owner of a cake shop, I'd love one of those!

I think turn of the century on in to the 20s. Likely European in origin. I think etagere is appropriate.

Looks too small for cakes....but just about right for figurines...

    I suspect it's Italian.

How tall and wide and deep is it?

Those dimensions might help determine if it could easily be used on a counter in a retail establishment.

Because the lowest shelves appear to be so close to the floor, I can't imagine putting anything edible down that low forcing people to have to squat as they viewed the "goods for sale." ;)
